Structural Soils Ltd - Mike Addinal – Associate Director
We were contacted by GeoMax a few years back who asked if they could come in and give us a product demo. We were looking to purchase a new GPS unit so what harm could it do? To say we were impressed with the relative simplicity of operation was an understatement. The familiarity of an android operating system automatically put people at ease “I recognise this – so how hard can it be”. With multi providers sims, and 4 satellite constellations providing coverage of the skies – the areas out of reach to high quality signal are very few and far between. As a company, we are however most impressed with the level of customer support we have been provided. The ability for the GeoMax technicians to dial into the units remotely, and resolve issues our site team may have – whilst they are still on site – is second to none. As far as GPS data collection is concerned – the GeoMax range of devices is the way forward for our business.
Pell Frischmann - James Bedingfield
The X-PAD software was simple to use and gave multiple avenues to output the data and by using a few simple in house routines we created bespoke automated daily report which met the clients needs. The Zoom90 has been very reliable and only the build up of dirt on the prisms has caused any issues in data collection.
GN Surveys Solutions - Dominic Talbot
The Hydrone boat and Sonarmite sensor allowed for a quick deployment and survey. We paired this with a GeoMax Zoom90 EDM for co-ordination and utilised the Bathymetric application within the X-PAD software which worked really well. This system can also be used with a GPS, allowing for data capture where line of sight may not always be possible. For GN Survey Solutions Ltd this was the right tool for the job and we would use it again.
M-EC Development Technical Consultants
M-EC Development Technical Consultants took delivery of a brand new GeoMax Zoom95 R 5’’ total station along with 2 GeoMax Zenith60 GPS units. They are the first company within the UK to take delivery of the Zenith60, with full tilt compensation for those hard to reach detail points. This new addition to our arsenal means every one of our GPS units has the compensation ability to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Many thanks to Survey Hire for the faultless delivery and constant updates throughout the buying process.

CDM Surveys - Ross Marshall
Muneer, Thank you very much for your advice and support in the procurement of our new GPS survey instrument.
I have used the GeoMax Zenith40 for the first time today and it performed impeccably. Site work will inevitably be more productive from now on.
I’m sure we will be back in touch when we need a new total station or GPS instrument.

Why did you choose GeoMax?
We chose Geomax because of its versatility and the extremely user-friendly software/interface that comes with it. GeoMax operates with XPAD which works off a tablet that enables you to do nearly everything you would normally do on a computer. The extensive features include its own CAD screen, allowing the user to draw changes, make alterations and gather information from any survey or setting out data. The coding system is very straight forward and it allows you to create your own codes and identify them differently. Even the basic features of surveying and stakeout have encompassed several different ways this can be done. GeoMax are constantly updating and rolling out new features of XPAD which continue to help us on a daily basis.
How has using GeoMax instruments helped you with your business?
GeoMax has helped the business by speeding up processes, increasing productivity and reducing the number of processes we have to go through in order to present and analyse data. GeoMax now enables us to draw 3D surfaces and run volumes on the tablet itself before creating a report which can be sent wirelessly to a computer device. This maximises efficiency by reducing time lost through waiting to process the information when it can be done by the user. XPAD365 allows information to be uploaded wirelessly, and in real time, from anyone to anywhere. This has significantly aided the business by giving engineers the ability to assist others from a remote location.
What feedback do you get from your staff about using GeoMax?
