Q1. What do I need to rent Surveying equipment?
In order to rent an instrument, you will be required to open an account with us, this process is straight forward, we require you to complete our new customer form and if hiring as an individual you will be required to supply us with a copy of a valid form of I.D such as a driver's license, a deposit or upfront payment will also be required for new customers, this is dependent on the value of the instrument.
Q2. Shipping
We can ship to any UK address. No international shipping is available.
Standard shipping rate: £15.00 for mainland UK
Q3. Return Shipping
Hire equipment is mainly delivered and collected by our trained delivery drivers unless outside of delivery range (approx. 150 miles from our office in Biggleswade). You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs if returning sale items. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Should you have any questions on how to return your item to us, please email us
Q4. What if I need technical support during my hire?
All our customers are entitled to unlimited telephone support which is often complimented with the use of TeamViewer and Microsoft Teams for remote training. On site instrument, familiarisation sessions are also available for all new hires with prior arrangements.
Q5. What do I do if I need additional training?
There is a whole selection of training videos and quick guides available upon request and also accessible from our rugged tablets.
Q6. What if my instrument goes wrong whilst on hire?
Instrument exchanges will be done free of charge on any faulty instruments, but any damage or lost equipment will incur a charge.
Q7. How much notice do I need to give to hire an instrument?
We ideally require 24 hours’ notice for new hires and can usually supply most stock equipment within 24 hours.
